Our Story
When the opportunity to create Lake Life Café arose, the decision was easy. We loved the people here, who made our visits feel almost permanent, and cherished the memories we made with our family. The idea of becoming a part of the Chautauqua community felt like the natural next step – a place where we could always return.
Soon after opening Lake Life Café, we met Joe Gerace, our general manager of both Lake Life Café and Lake Life Kitchen. Joe’s passion for the business helped us grow Lake Life Café into a must-visit spot in Bemus Point, where we’ve been fortunate to provide a welcoming experience for our customers and employees alike.
After three successful years at Lake Life Café, we knew we were ready to grow. When we learned that Schuyler’s Kitchen was for sale, we couldn’t resist the chance to expand. After meeting Debra Schuyler, we struck a deal, and we are honored to carry on the legacy of Schuyler’s Kitchen, a beloved spot with a loyal following. In our first year of ownership, we expanded the kitchen and doubled the seating, allowing even more guests to enjoy a delicious breakfast or lunch. With these upgrades and a fresh vision for the future, we’re excited to introduce Lake Life Kitchen, effective January 2025.
While Lake Life Kitchen will offer a menu similar to Schuyler’s Kitchen, we’re enhancing the options to make them even better, always focusing on providing the exceptional service and quality our guests know and love.
